Become a volunteer

Foundation Jabulani Kids Zimbabwe mediates for volunteers who want to work at the King George VI Centre in Bulawayo. Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, special educators, speech therapists, teachers and trainees are welcome for at least three, but preferably seven months of work experience. We bring the volunteers in touch with the King George VI Centre and provide information about the travel, accommodation and activities. We are not an organization sending out volunteers, we just mediate between the volunteer and the Centre. Volunteers earn no money but get a room and food. No project contribution is asked from them, and volunteers have to bear the costs of travel, visa, vaccinations and other extra charges.

Most Board members of Jabulani Kids Zimbabwe worked as a volunteer at the King George VI Centre and can tell you exactly what to expect, what the circumstances are, what your work can contribute, and what is generally expected of you. If you are interested you can send us an e-mail. Of course it is always possible to make an appointment with one of the board members to find out about volunteering at King George VI.
